The 2020 Bond Workshop for public library directors and trustees on the subject of planning a building project will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 1:30-3:30pm ET. Presenters are Jane Herndon of Ice Miller and Belvia Gray and Ryan Fetters from Baker Tilly. Among the topics covered are project planning, finance, taxpayer/voter responses, and preparing to present to fiscal approval bodies. Issuing bonds requires attention to debt repayment and tax rate effects during and after the completion of the construction project.
