Storytime Bootcamp - Bartholomew County Public Library
You know
about Every Child Ready To Read’s “Talk, Sing, Read, Write, and Play,” but do
you know how to put it all together into a cohesive program for toddlers or
preschoolers? Join Beth Yates of the
Indiana State Library as she demonstrates an actual storytime while sharing
tips and tricks for success. We will
crowd source your best storytime
ideas, books, and activities, too! So, please
come prepared to share. This training is
geared towards both new-to-storytime librarians and experienced programmers who
want to see and hear how others do their programs. Veterans--please be ready to share your expertise! Attendees should be familiar with the skills
and practices of Every Child Ready to Read, and will ideally have attended an
ECRR training at some point prior to bootcamp.
This training is located at:
Bartholomew County Public Library - Main Branch
536 5th St
Columbus, IN 47201
(812) 379-1255
Workshop runs 1:30pm-3:30pm EST and is worth 2 LEUs.
Registration
is required.
Please contact Beth Yates at byates@library.in.gov or 317-234-5649 if you
have
questions.
Note: If you also plan to attend the ECRR training that morning (9:30-12:30), there will be a 1 hour lunch break on your own from 12:30-1:30. Please plan to return and be ready to begin the Storytime training promptly at 1:30pm ET. Attendees may bring their lunch with them and eat in the training room if they wish.
