The Indiana State Library will be hosting the 2019 Institutional Libraries Workshop

Location: Indiana State Library - History Reference Room (2nd floor)

This year's keynote speakers will be Dr. Susan B. Hyatt, Professor and Chair, Indiana University School of Liberal Arts at Indianapolis Department of Anthropology, and Dr. Elizabeth A. Nelson. Dr. Hyatt co-founded the Indiana chapter of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program, a national and international model for prison education involving bringing college students into correctional institutions where they take classes alongside incarcerated students. Dr. Nelson served as a consultant for the Indiana Women’s Prison History Project, in which incarcerated women are producing critical historical studies of gender, sexuality, and incarceration in Indiana.

Other topics covered will include:
  • Resource sharing/interlibrary loan - Learn more about Indiana Share, InfoExpress, and other resources available to institutional libraries.
  • Grants for Institutional Libraries - learn about LSTA Technology grants and other sources of funding for your institutional library
  • Open discussion and networking - there will be a chance to connect with colleagues to discuss concerns and successes.
Registered attendees will be eligible to earn LEUs or ACA contact hours (ACA Standard #4-4507).

There is no charge to attend. Limited parking may be available in the Senate Avenue parking facility. Please enter the garage using the far right lane with the ticket kiosk. If your state badge does not provide entry, please take a ticket which will be validated for you before leaving (please bring your ticket with you).
