The Monroe County Public Library will be hosting a Technology Roundtable, with a focus on Virtual Reality in the library, on August 24^th

The roundtable will begin with a discussion of how they have used VR in their library.  Representatives from Monroe County Public Library will be available to answer questions about their recent 2 week VR development camp.  Attendees who have used Samsung Gear or Google Cardboard in their libraries are encouraged to bring their devices to show off to attendees.  Discussion participants will receive 1 TLEU. 

The petting zoo begins at 12:00pm, and will feature the HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift.  Attendees can either continue the discussion while waiting for their turn with a device or break for lunch at any of the nearby restaurants.

*VR Petting Zoo: YOU MUST register for a preferred time slot and device at this link.  Device trials will be limited to up to 10 minutes for one device.  If time allows, you may have the ability to test a 2^nd device.

Round Table Topic:  Virtual Reality in the library.  Attendees can discuss how they have, or plan to, employ VR in their library.  Libraries who use google cardboard or Samsung gear are encouraged to bring their devices to show off.

Parking:  There are a limited number of free parking spots in the library’s parking lot.  Metered street parking is available at a rate of $0.25/15 minutes.
