The Monroe County
Public Library will be hosting a Technology Roundtable, with a focus on Virtual
Reality in the library, on August 24th
The roundtable will
begin with a discussion of how they have used VR in their library. Representatives from Monroe County Public Library
will be available to answer questions about their recent 2 week VR development
camp. Attendees who have used Samsung
Gear or Google Cardboard in their libraries are encouraged to bring their
devices to show off to attendees. Discussion participants will receive 1 TLEU.
The petting zoo begins at 12:00pm, and will feature the HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift. Attendees can either continue the discussion while waiting for their turn with a device or break for lunch at any of the nearby restaurants.

trials will be limited to up to 10 minutes for one device. If time allows, you may have the ability to
test a 2nd device.
Round Table Topic: Virtual Reality in the
library. Attendees can discuss how they
have, or plan to, employ VR in their library.
